Trong hai ngày 19 và 20 tháng 10 tại Đại học Oxford, các chuyên gia về lĩnh vực hàng hải, quan hệ quốc tế và luật biển đến từ các nước thành viên Hiệp hội Các quốc gia Đông Nam Á (ASEAN), Trung Quốc, Canada, Mỹ và châu Âu đã tham gia một hội thảo bàn tròn nhằm đưa ra các giải pháp mới cho những vấn đề tranh chấp trên Biển Đông. Đại diện cho Việt Nam là PGS. TS. Nguyễn Hồng Thao, Giảng viên Luật quốc tế Học viện Ngoại giao Hà Nội, và là Thành viên đồng sáng lập Dự án Đại Sự Ký Biển Đông.
